The Path Between Light and Darkness

Kairi: So it's 666 today (6th day of the sixth moth of the sixth year) and all my friends are hyped up about it. Appaeretnmly it's the apocalypse. So I guess I'll 'die' tonight (my choir concert is tonight, so I just might because we are not really prepared). Wish me luck everyone! I'll need it... But in case something does go wrong, I should do something brave... *looks at Kai and blushes*

Kai: *irritbly* What?

Kairi: Uhhh... Nothing! ^-^ Good luck to me!

Kairi: Kay, so today I was in Spanish class and suddenly a phone started ringing really loudly and vibrating. I was like "Please don't be mine please don't be mine." But, of course it was. So my teacher is like "Can I have your phone?" So I said I'd find it, which was partially true because my purse/backpack was really messy and full. So I took a super long time to search, knowing that it was most likely Amanda, because for some reason she doesn't get that she can't call me in the middle of a class and expect me to be able to talk to her. So I was seriously stalling and hoping she'd think it was off or something and hang up. But she didn't and my teacher got it. It went like this:

Teacher: "Hello, who is this? ...Hi Amanda... No this is Kaitlin's Spanish teacher... She can't come to the phone right now... Where are you?.... where are you?... Where are you? ... IN CLASS... You shouldn't call people in class... Whoes class are you in? ... What are you doing? Watching a moive? Well don't you think you should be paying attention instead of calling Kaitlin? ... Can you call her later, Amanda? Okay bye!

And so by this time everyone is staring and laughing. And I'm beat red going "God, I'm going to kill Amanda!"

Kai: Question.

Kairi: Shoot.

Kai: What's the point of using a pen-name if you just put your real name in your entry?

Kairi: That's... a really good question... I don't know, cuz I like my pen-name I guess.

Kai: That makes hardly any sense.

Kairi: Yes it does. this is stupid, and I have to go do Bio, so bye!

Kairi: Well, maybe, actually I'm going to go study for my bio exam now. Wish me luck!

Kai: What's up with the title?

Kairi: I dunno, it's just the first thing that popped in my head. Anyways, Kai and I are SOOOOOOOOOOOO sorry that we haven't updated in a while! Honestly we are!

Kai: No I'm not.

Kai: Fine, I am! And now I have something REALLY important to say.... KINGDOM HEARTS 2 IS OUT AND IT IS MINE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Kai: -_-;

Kairi: I really love it. It's plot line is so intriguing I can't stay away from it. I won't give any spoilers just yet though, in case someone who wants to play reads this, because, even though I am playing on proud mode, I am beating it WAY too quickly. I only hope that it's not over too quickly, because that would make me so disapointed. But here's a warning, spoilers will be coming soon because I need to write about this, so most likely on my next update when I have more time, I'll give a more in-depth explanation. In the meantime, I just want to say a few un-relating things. I hate people who constantly blow me off. I have a friend who blows me off and treats me like dirt all the time and knows it too! But she thinks it's okay because I've known her for so long! She even told me this! She was supposed to come over to play KH2 last Thrusday at 7, and by 8:30 I realized that she wasn't comming. I didn't really expect her to, I don't rely on her at all any more. On my 16th birthday, she forgot to get me a present and made the card in my car (I still loved the card though). She ignored me for five days and then when we had a class together, she purpoesly ignored me, then finally turned around and said, "So, I was supposed to come over last Thursday wasn't I?" Turns out she forgot, and then didn't feel like calling for the next 5 days. She said she was busy, at which I raised an eyebrow and said, "Wow, your must be pretty darn busy then." at which my cousin laughed and said to her "Ooo, smoked". She then got that I was mad, but didn't actually do anything about it. She said that she was being a jerk, which might have helped except we've had this conversation many many many times before and I am SO sick of it.

Then she was supposed to try again on Tuesday to come and see KH2, but she didn't show up. She called and said she wasn't coming, about 40 minutes after she was supposed to. I mean I have put up with her for years and she still does it! Why do I stick with her? Because she's still my best friend, no matter what.

Kai: No one cares.

Kairi: Oh shut up, Kai! You are no help at all! I am going to have to call Tala back so that he can be nice to me.

Kai: *quietly* damn.

Kairi: Anyways, next time, we're gonna have two special guests on line with us ... Riku and Sora everyone! I can't wait!

Kai: DAMN!

Kairi: I LOVE Kingdom Hearts!

Kai: Haven't we heard this enough!

Kairi: Yes! But I got to see the opening video (finally) on Sea's new i-pod and it totally rocked! Then she gave me a link to a site that had it, but it took three whole hours to load, but I did it!

Kai: *sarcastically* Joy.

Kairi: And soon I am going to write all about our most excellent ski trip, I just don't have the time right now because I want it to be good. In other news, Lauren's murder mystery party is tommorow, should be tons of fun. I am Desiree Minter, the spoilt, rich, sluty daughter of *gasp* Amanda! That part freaks me out, but I made a great costume with Erin and Kelsey's help this afternoon. Someone else needs the computer now, so I have to go, so I'll update tommorow if I have time. Bye!

Kairi: I must mark this day in history forever, for today I have finally beaten Final Fantasy X.

Kai: So why aren't you happy? It's been a year and a few months?

Kairi: Because it was an accident.

FLASHBACK

*I won't give away any spoilers for people who haven't played this yet*

Kairi: Oh yeah! Go me! I'm getting my ass kicked, but that's okay!

*The final boss and I have been trapped in a stalemate battle for... about two hours, but I'm still going strong. Strongish. Anyways, everything was going fine, until boss dude petrified Tidus and killed him out of the game!*

Kairi: WHAT THE CRAP! NOT TIDA! YOU CAN'T KILL TIDUS!!!!!!!!

*So all I had left were Auron and Yuna, which sucked because I had this mental image of Tidus delivering the final blow, but this was the farthest I had ever gotten. But Tidus was my fighter and healer too, so I was kinda about to give up. Final Boss dude had about 900100 hp left, so I wasn't about to stop him any time soon without Tidus there, so I took a risky move and summoned the Magus Sisters in overdrive. They performed their overdrive twice and then attacked seperatly. It was WAY intense.*

Mom: Dinner!

Kairi: Kay!

*A couple hours later, I am totally convinced that I will now lose, so I go down to where my game is paused and decide to press a few buttons to keep the screen from freezing.*

Kairi: So that's how I did it, total accident. I wasn't even in a pumped mood! I had been waititng to do that FOREVER and it was a mistake!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Kai: Yeah, but you beat X2, so it's okay then?

Kairi: I know, but still, this sucks. Oh well, I'll soon have my beleoved Kingdom Hearts II in my grasp to console me! Wow, I feel better now! And now I'm going to go watch the ending of Final Fantasy, except I know what's coming and I am not in the mood anymore, but I'll have KH2!

Kai: Sure, whatever.

Kairi: KINGDOM HEARTS II IS COMING OUT ON MARCH 28!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Now I can finally see my sexy Riku again! It's so hard though, to keep from reading the spoilers I mean. I already accidently read who the last battle was against, which mad me sad becasue it's really good. I have been waiting for this for like FOREVER!

Kai: Anyways, what's up with the title? I thought you were a solid Kairi/Sora and Riku/you supporter.

Kairi: Yeah, I am. See Kairi's my pen-name, remember? Yes, I am well aware that Riku/me is not a real pairing, but now it is because I put it in writting. So ha! Seriously though, I was so happy when Sora and Kairi were together and then Riku was single. Then in CoM I was almost scared because it looked like they were pairing Riku up with Namine, but one, it was Riku Replica (Rep to me), and two, Namine is with Roxas.

Kai: Rocks who?

Kairi: Roxas, it's BHK's (Blonde, other side of Sora) REAL name. Mr. Nomura did his best to try and not leak anything about the game, especially not Roxas' name, but then the soundtrack was leaked onto the internet and people noticed that one of the tracks was called 'Roxas'. Everyone then realzied that this was his true name and it was leaked all over. I like that name though, and it's pretty cool how they did the 13th Order's names.

See, Roxas is Sora with an x in it. Since the memebers of the order were once strong people who lost their hearts, they became nobodies and they all got new names, like Vexen was once Even, see? Vexen is Even with a x. I LOVE IT.

Kai: ......

Kairi: Let's see, if Kai was an Order memeber, he would be... Kixa or Kaxi!

Kai: o_O

Kairi: Now I am going to rant about HK2!

Kai: You haven't been already?

Kairi: Hell no! I'm just getting started. Okay, since at the end of KH, Cloud found Arieth and they were happy, everything was good, right? WRONG! In KH2, Cloud (wearing his Advent Children garb) along with Leon, Tifa, and Arieth, have a final light and darkness showdown against Sephiroth. It is like a side story to the game and I beleive that Cloud is playable. And I totally just noticed this, but Seph's final words in AC were "I shall not remain only a memeory", and then CoM is all about memeories. There is even a quote about Cloud in the journal in CoM that supports my new theory! GO ME!

And now I have to go and I will have to continue this LATER!

Kairi: I have to go back to school tommorow! I haven't been there for TWO weeks and I cannot, for the life of me, get back into the groove. And, Kai, you forgot a question mark.

Kai: I know, I decided it didn't really count as a question because I don't care that much. It was just something I felt inclined to say.

Kairi: *sighing* Ohhh... you

Kai: What's wrong anyway? You have a lot of friends in your English class, don't you?

Kairi: Yes, but I keep having this sinking feeling where I am actually not and only think I am and, in reality, I am all alone. Plus, it's advanced placement English, which is translated into 'A Freaking Load of Work'. Then I have Bio and Spanish and religion and stuff, so apart from AP English and Biology, I am in for a pretty lax semester.

And on another note, I drove a standard today. It was pretty terrifying because I haven't driven one in almost a year, I was doing fine until I kinda accidently got onto a larger road and there was this bloody huge bus behind me and I freaked. But other than that it was pretty good, and I only staled once, which, luckily wasn't on a hill. My parents say that we're getting a new car soon, so I'll have to drive the standard. I hate driving standards, so they try to console me by saying that all soprts cars are standards. Pfft.

Lauren is pressuring me to write more of the Prank War, which is, sadly, coming to an end. However it is currently over 132 pages, so I guess that's a fairly good length. And then we can begin our Final Fantasy VII story. Yay! AS a treat (or not), I'll tell you all (woah, check out how I just used three words that all end with two l's) a speical preview of one of the scenes in the Prank War that we thought was funny:

P.S. Hee hee, who likes my new icon? I do! It's Kadaj from AC, except it also kinda look like Riku, but it is actually Kadaj. I luv Advent Children! I can't wait for the version that I'll actually understand (though Lauren and I decided that we'll kill them ((the dubber dudes)) if they screw up Cloud, Sephiroth, Vincent, and Kadaj's voices) so if anyone knows when it's coming out, please, feel free to let me know.

Kairi: Woah! That was so darn cool, I got this e-mail from the livejournal people telling me to update! Ha! People do notice my laziness! Well, actually I tried to do at least three posts, except problems kept coming. Like the first time my sister kicked me off the computer, the second time I had to go to Hapkido, and the third time my mouse (wireless) ran out of batteries and my dad came to change them and I had to get out cuz I didn't want him reading my stuff. So hi to Lilyangel!

Kairi: I love Advent Children. And even though the subtitles suck (ex. Cloud somehow became - 'The Gram is Virtuous' and Tifa is 'Method of') and it makes no freaking sense because of them, I still love the pretty pictures and how everyone can defy gravity! And Cloud! And Kaji!

Kai: Kaji? That's even worse than Kai-chan.

Kairi: Yeah well, pffft.

THE NEXT MORNING

Kairi: *is still mostly asleep* Mmmmmmmmmmm..... so soft *has no idea why she's saying this*... so warm.... *thinks* Wow, I had the best dream last night. I dreamt that I fell asleep on Kai! Sigh, too bad it wasn't real. *Cuddles into her pillow in an attempt to fall back asleep (regardless of the fact that it is almost 12:30 am), only to realize that her 'pillow' is breathing.* WHAT THE HELL!!!!

Kai: *still asleep* mmmmmmm

Kairi: *heart is beating really fast* So it wasn't a dream.... How the heck did I get here?

*for the record, after Kai fell asleep, he leaned back onto the armrest of the couch that they were previously sitting on. Therefore, Kairi fell onto his chest and was practically on top of him, her arms were still around his neck. One of Kai's arms was around Kairi's waist and the other was along her back, and one of his hands was resting on the back of her head. Kairi Is VERY happy*

Kairi: Hee hee, sorry. Anyways, I just went to go see the Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe and I absolutely loved it! William Mosely is very cute ^_~ It's been so long since I read the book though, so most of it was a complete surprise to me. I love Asland, he was always my favourite character and when I saw the old movie in fourth grade, I cried when he died. Even though I knew he was going to come back. I read somewhere that 'Asland has a different meaning for all children; to some he is the brave ruler, or the savior, or the father-like figure' but to me, he will always be Azzy - the cuddly lion!

Kairi: Yeah, so anyway, I made these new years resolutions; to do more things with my friends, to drive more (even though I'm still scared), to study more, and to write more of 'The Reason' and 'The Prank War'. How about you, Kai? What did you resolve to do?

Kai: Nothing.

Kairi: There's nothing about yourself that you want to change in the new year?

Kai: No.

Kairi: Oh right, because the Great Kai is just soooooo perfect that there is NO way he could possibly change anything.

Kai: Exactly.

Kairi: *laughs until she realizes that Kai is serious* (sigh)So Kai, are you gonna stay up all night with me? I am totally pumped, this year I WILL do it I will NOT fall asleep. The last couple of years I got bored and went to bed, but this year I'm going to stay awake, I promise! No matter how tired I am! (And considering I didn't sleep very much last night, this might be difficult)

Kai: Go ahead, but I'm not staying - *feels something land on his shoulder, he looks over and realizes that Kairi has fallen asleep on him* ................................

(Gaaahhhh I'm so weird)

Kairi: First of all, I just wanna say MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!!!!!! Wow, I haven't been here for so long! I have a lot to write too (for once). For example, I got an i-pod nano for Chirstmas plus speakers for it and a bunch of other stuff. My sister gave me a cover for my cell that looks like a puppy and I named him 'Tush-Tush' dun really know why though. And all my friends gave me awesome presents too, I swear, this is my best Christmas ever!

Kai: Do you realize how many things were wrong with your last paragraph?

Kairi: Kai, you are such a scrooge!

Kai: You have een waiting all year to say that haven't you?

Kairi: No, Tyson has, he's the one who told me to say it.

Kai: sigh...

Kairi: Anyways, I've been having these really weird dreams lately; like there's this one re-occuring dream where my eyebrows are gone except for in the middle, so I have a unibrow, but no eyebrows. *Shudders* It was really scary, and both times I had this dream I woke up and ran to the bathroom to make sure I still had eyebrows. I wonder what it means?

Kai: That you're completely shallow and care too much about your appearance?

Kairi: Why do I even bother.

Kai: You forgot a question mark.

Kairi: It wasn't a question. Back to what I was saying, I had a really cool dream last night about solving a murder mystery. It was realistic except for the fact that my name was Mary-Kate (everyone who knows me will get this) and I had a twin sister named Ashley >_<

Kai: Uhh

Kairi: Yeah, but it was still pretty cool. It looked like the man's wife murdered him with all of the evidence that we gathered, but I don't think it was, neither did Ashley.

Kai: Why not?

Kairi: It was WAY too easy! Murder stories are NEVER that simple!

Kairi: Woah... I haven't updated in a while and so much has happened. For example, the school ball where starry guy walked up to me and then walked away and then later walked up behind me and I acidently punched him in the chest o_O; ooppsie. Oh well, he's a player jerk anyways. And then I had a ton of homework... yawn. But then came the exciting part-

Kairi: Damn (Yay ^_~). So as I was saying before I was so rudely inturrupted - I had an amazing party for my Sweet 16. We rented out a hotel suite for my friends and I and we partied and went swimming and stayed up all night! It was so awesome! I had the best time ever!

Kai: Sounds like it.

Kairi: I wish you and Tala were there, though.

Kai: Like I would want to be trapped in a hotel room with a bunch of hyper active girls.

Kairi: Well, what if it was just you and m-anyways, today December 12th which is actually my real birthday, so here is a big thanks to all of my firnds who gave me birthday wishes.

Kai: Well I don't.

Tala: What's wrong?

Kairi: I just got an e-mail from my friend and she says that she will let us keep the names, but I have to change them all back! AND I just spent all that time writting that juge rant and we all had to change our names.

Tala: Ouch.

Kai: Aren't you supposed to be writting a speech for Friday?

Kairi: Yes...

Tala: Lay off her, it's not due 'till Friday, right?

Kairi: Exactly.

Kai: Whatever...

Kairi: My arms hurt now, so I'm gonna go, so bye!

Tala: Bye.

Kai: Hn.

Kai: Your title is kinda random.

Kairi: Yeah, so what my feet DO hurt and I feel very sorry for anyone who ever was forced to wear high heels.

Kai: Let me guess, you're trying to get used to them before you have to dance in them?

Kairi: Yep, though it's not working so well, so I won't really be able to dance... but at least I'll look hot!

Kai: .....

Tala: Just now.

Kairi: I get to go rock climbing tomorrow with Skyde. Should be fun. But enough about that, I have an issue to adress with you two.

Kairi: Okay, see my friend and I are thinking of posting the Prank War along with the Reason. Only problem is she wants to change all of the names to our pen names, aka Lilyangle, Ritsu-chan, I would be Dawn and she would be Queen. I think that it doesn't look professional, but she thinks it's cute. What do you think?

Kai: You already know my opinion.

Tala: Hmmm... Not sure, why don't we try it out then, to see how it would look?

Kairi: Alright!

The Road to Dawn: Woah that's alot to type.

Crimson Wolf: This is quite different all in all, but I'm beginning to see what you mean. Plus it is too much to type for a name.

The Road to Dawn: Let me guess, Crimson Wolf is Tala-ushka?

Crimson Wolf: Da.

The Road to Dawn: Hey Kai, where are you?

The Road to Dawn: Kai, why are you here if we can't talk to you?

Don't talk to me: No, it's my name.

Crimson Wolf: This is too confusing.

Crimson Wolf: This is getting anoying, can we just go back to our regular names?

The Road to Dawn: First Mr. Don't talk to me has to at least get a better name.

Kairi: Woooo, dress shopping is way harder than it looks! I mean seriously, all guys have to do for a dance is go rent a tux or something, while girls have to try on a ton of stuff and feel horrible every time it looks all wrong. It was fun though, because my friends were there and they got some really great stuff. I also got a pretty green and white-silver scarf ^_^

Kai: Did you even actually get a dress?

Kairi: Eventually, yeah. But by then it was about 8:30 and then my mom came and I had to get shoes and other stuff.

Tala: So, when can I see you in this dress.

Kairi: On Friday, but not before, because I want it to be a surprise.

Tala: Are you sure I can't get a preview or something, I mean you keep talking about it.

Kairi: Just wait a few more days and then you can see it, kay Tali?

Kai: *growls*

Kairi: Woah, Kai, I almost forgot you were here, you haven't said anything for a while.

Kai:......

Kairi: Fine, be that way.

Tala: Kai's been acting odd lately.

Kairi: Yeah, I noticed. I wonder what his problem is? I guess Kai has always had some issues, but he has never been like this before.

Kai: I am still here you know.

Tala: Yeah, we know, we just wanted to see if you were actually paying attention.

Kai: *growls again* Zakolebal dostal, Tala.

Kairi: Geez, I guess I'll just have to figure what's wrong with Kai later, cuz I gotta go do homework now. Stupid Math and Science exams. Oh well, wish me luck. Bye Tali-ushka and Kai-chan!

Kairi: Wow, I thought that his would never happen, considering that my dad is totally against me using the internet like this and there is no doubt that he will eventually find this. Kai: *smirks* Why would they even want to?

Kairi: Kai, you are such a jerk! Why are you even here anyways?

Kai: *sighs* Because you invited me, remember?

*Flashback*

Kairi: Hey Kai, I got a livejournal, wanna come help me write in it?

Kai: Hn, let me think about that.... no.

*end flashback*

Kairi: That still doesn't explain why you're here.

Kai: Truthfully, I don't know, somehow I always end up helping you in these sorts of things.

Kairi: Oh, okay then. So yeah, as always, my co-writer (and sarcastic commentator) will be Mr. Kai-chan Hiwatari.

Kai: *scwols* I thought I told you to never call me Kai-chan again.

Kairi: Yeah, you did. So anyway, I'm really not sure what to put..... ummmm.... oh! Okay, so here is some stuff that has been happening at my school; I am very sick of math by now, I hate my social class, had a guy 3 years older than me hitting on me during hockey in gym. I re-did all of chapter one and the prologue of The Reason and I got a fanfiction account, even though I haven't posted anything yet. There is this really preppy guy who thinks I'm stalking him, but I'm not and-

Kai: Wait, what guy is this?

Kairi: Oh, right, it's kinda a girl thing, Kai. That's why I didn't tell you, but I guess I will now. So there's this guy and I don't know his name, but he's one of those popular, good looking, arrogant types and, well he thinks that I'm stalking him. See what happened was he had this hair that I thought was cool (until I found out that 50% of the guys in my school have the same hair) so I was looking at it, he thought I was staring at him. Over the next few months we kept kinda running into each other and we would both stare at each other then look away, and then repeat. It wasn't all that exciting until one day I was in the same class as him for a demo and as I was leaving he screamed something in a weird voice to his friend and then ran towards me. I looked around to see who screamed and he stared at me again, then went, kinda 'oh shit' and ran away. I just stood there blinking, then I almost died laughing.

So everything was normal after that, until I straightened my hair. On that day, I counted seven times I ran into him, once I was beside him, once he thought I was talking to him, three times he just kept staring, and I walked by his classroom another three times and he kept staring (while pretending not to). And since then , we have simply pretended not to know that the other exists.

Kai: I really didn't want to know. I don't care about your 'boy' life in the slightest, so why are you telling me this?

Kairi: I was telling the readers. (Poor Kai has had a girl-talk over load, he's handling it better than most though). Can't really think of much else to put, except that the Ball is coming up and I have no one to go with. That sounded so Cinderellaish, which is so not me. I just get pissed off with all the couple crap going around at this time. So I guess that's it bye! I'll update soon, I promise!

Kai: Hn, Like that will happen.
